The page checks: scams, adverts, and what needs a source
Four small checks you can run on whatever is in front of you — an email, an article, a page someone sent you. They live in the browser extension, and your assistant can run them too.
What they answer
- Is this a scam? Phishing, a fake or altered invoice, a spoofed sender, a bank account that has suddenly changed. It tells you how likely, and which single thing looked most out of place.
- Is this an advert? Paid placement dressed up as an article or a review, and whether it admits it.
- Worth my time? Whether a long page actually says anything, before you read it.
- What needs checking? It marks the sentences that assert something a source could confirm, and says how confident it is about each.
They answer with a number, not a verdict
Every one of them gives you a probability and stops there. None of them will tell you whether something is true. That is deliberate. A check that says "FAKE" sounds authoritative and is wrong often enough to get somebody hurt; one that says "0.93 that this is a payment fraud, and the address does not match the company" is something you can look at and disagree with. The claims check in particular finds what is worth verifying — it does not verify it, and it will not pass judgement on a named private person.
Treat the number as a second pair of eyes. If it says 0.6, that means it is not sure, and neither should you be.
What it costs
Each check costs credits from a small daily allowance, separate from your PA's AI calls. Most cost 1. The claims one costs 10, because it has to read the page twice — once to find the claims, once to weigh them. You can see what is left in the extension, and in your planner under More → Account. It resets at midnight.
What leaves your computer
Pressing a check sends that page's words to be read. It happens only when you press one, the words are not kept afterwards, and what comes back is the probabilities rather than the page. Nothing is read in the background and nothing watches what you browse. You choose which checks appear, in the extension's popup.
If you run things for other people
Whoever runs your brand can change any check's wording, its questions and what it costs, or switch it off entirely — under Brand → Checks in the admin portal. A brand's own version replaces the one everybody else sees, and can be put back at any time.
