Which AI your PA uses, and the little AI tag

Your PA, Ask AI, meal estimates, the AI day plan and AI workouts are all answered by an AI model. My PA Buddy doesn't depend on one company: it keeps a short list of models for each job and uses the first one that answers.

The AI tag

Every AI answer in your planner carries a small tag, like ✦ Gemini 2.5 Flash. Tap it to see:

• Which model answered, who makes it, the service it came through, and how long it took.
• Which models were passed over first, and why. The tag then says · backup, which is normal: the first choice was busy, so the next one stepped in.
• The order this job tries models in.

If no model answered, the tag says ⚠ AI didn't answer. Tap it to see what was tried and why each one failed.

Where you'll see it

• PA tab: under each of your PA's replies. If you sent photos, the details also show which model looked at them.
• Search → Ask AI: under the answer.
• Health: next to a meal's verdict (Good choice, Okay, Go easy), on the AI day plan, and on an AI-built workout.

Answers made before this tag existed don't have one.

What the reasons mean

• Busy (rate-limited): too many people are using that model right now. The next model is tried straight away.
• Timed out: it took too long to answer, so the next one was tried.
• Not available any more: the provider has retired that model. The platform owner should pick another one in AI lab.
• Provider error / couldn't connect / answered empty: a hiccup at the provider. It usually clears within minutes.
• Key refused / out of credit: the problem is on the platform's AI account, not yours. No other model can help, so it stops at once. Tell your platform owner.

When it didn't answer

Nothing is wrong with your account. In the PA tab your words go back into the box, so you can tap Send again. Photos you sent are kept in your inbox and finished within a few minutes. A meal you logged is saved without an estimate; tap ✨ Re-check later. If it keeps happening, send your platform owner a screenshot of the tag's details.

For platform owners

The models for each job are chosen in AI lab (Platform control). OpenRouter lets one key reach every model on the list; the recommended ones for each job are shown beside it. The fallbacks run in the order shown in the tag.
